Giving or not...

Just was reading something on the hobo traveller and got me thinkin bout my "days on the road"

Normally I had a "rule" not to give to beggers on the street ...I didnt want them to lose pride...I had no problem sharing my sandwich...or what ever I had but often it would be rejected...but when shared it was often fun...

But one day I was visiting a tiny village in Nepal with two friends from Italy...later I was to learn that the one had needed to beg when living in Spain...in order to make it home to Italy after losing his job...

ok...SO this place makes the BEST Yogurt in the World...sweet creamy and cold like a dessert...and there are no autos allowed...before leaving we stopped to have a yogurt...children started dancing around and speaking both in English and Italian...so the guys offered them some yogurt as well...THEY were DELIGHTED!!! Singing and dancing....as we left one little boy came by begging...we all said sorry..then he said he wanted it to buy yoghurt...still we said no...he followed us all the way....where we would wait for our return bus...We decided to have a samosa in a "restaurant" there...so naturally we invited the boy...the owner said he couldnt come in. But the Italians said he was their friend...this little boy proceeded in like a little prince...went and washed his hands....sat super straight and was suprised when the guys bought him not one but TWO samosas try as he might this small boy was unable to finish ....the boys told him it was fine....what wonder that for this moment he felt like a king...hoping that he was able to hole onto that feeling....remember it...and create this in his life someday...

sorry for the lack of grammer ;)
and no...these are not the same kids...but other kids from Nepal...:)
